About the event
The Shelby Area Democratic Club will celebrate its 58th Anniversary on Thursday, August 27 with a picnic and silent auction followed by the induction of a lucky someone into the Most Faithful Order of the Brass Donkey.
It will take place at the South Pavilion in Shelby’s Seltzer Park, off Glenwood and overlooking the Upper Pond. Bring a dish to share and items, big or small, for the Silent Auction. It’s a great opportunity to shed some items from your shelves and drawers and return with some fun and beautiful items to fill them again! The items will vary from the beautiful to the practical. Books, records, food, vegetables, jewelry, vases, old political merch have filled the auction tables in the past. All proceeds will go to help our local candidates in their Fall campaigns. Bring your checkbook or cash.
