It was a full house at the Little House in Shelby Thursday night for the Shelby Area Democratic Club's celebration of their 57th year. The potluck brought an incredible array of tasty salads, casseroles, and desserts. The Silent Auction was a huge success bringing in nearly $500. The Most Faithful Order of the Brass Donkey raffle gathered $105 and something new this year, the Jewelry Box, added $52. Many thanks to all who participated. The money will go to supporting SADC's mission to promotte Democratic candidates, issues, and ideas. Special thanks was given to Ted Clabaugh and Howard Gordon for their selfless service to the cause. Ruthie Good was this year's inductee into the Most Faithful Order of the Brass Donkey. It couldn't have gone to a better person. During the recent petition drive, Ruthie proved herself always willing to serve the cause wherever and whenever even if it was getting signatures in the middle of a vacant lot under an unrelenting sun on a Sunday afternoon in August. Congratulations and thank you Ruthie. And thank you to all who helped set up and clean up; Jan Henry, Bill Rieman, Karen Rieman, Gail Eckstein, Cindy Gordon, Howard Gordon, Carol Kimmel, Doug Dickson, Ted Clabaugh, Pat Salzgaber, Liv Edwards, Colton Stidam, Jon Lawson, Brenda Stock, Jen Nothacker, and John Makley.
